How to find Chalet Abbaye Find us on Google Earth: if you don't have Google Earth installed, click here to install it first (it's fantastic). Then click on the image below to zoom in to Chalet Abbaye.  We recommend that you self drive from Geneva airport when staying at Chalet Abbaye as although we are only a 10 minute walk to the local shops, bars and restaurants we believe that it will make your holiday so much easier for you. We can however organise transfers to and from the airport, please just contact us with your requirements. You can also book transfers yourselves through:  Driving from Geneva When you leave the car park at Geneva airport move into the middle lane of traffic & follow signs for FRANCE (and Annecy/Lyon). Drive straight through a few sets of traffic lights until you come to a junction. Turn left here, then first right, again following signs to FRANCE. This will take you on to the motorway which leads all the way to the border with France. Cross into France and stay on the motorway, drive in the direction of CHAMONIX – MONT BLANC TUNNEL for approximately 44 km until you come to CLUSES. Take the exit for CLUSES which is also signposted to MORZINE-AVORIAZ. Continue to follow signs for MORZINE-AVORIAZ through the outskirts of Cluses. The road start to climb after Cluses and you will pass through Taninges & Les Gets on the way to Morzine which is about 32km (20 miles) from Cluses. About 5km after Les Gets, just before you get to Morzine there is a long bend in the road, follow this round to the left, it is signposted to ST JEAN D’AULPS. Go over the next roundabout & follow the bendy road passing Champion supermarket on your right. Evenually you will drive throught the village of St Jean d'Aulps, immediately after the church which is on your right take the turning up to the right. This road will take you through the first collection of houses called "Perroudy" and on to "Abbaye". Follow the road for 200m past the "Abbaye" sign until it splits in two. Take the right hand fork and we are the first house on the right with the red shutters. Chalet Abbaye is attached to the back of our house and shares the same drive and parking, the entrance is to the right of our door through the old garage space with a red heart on the front door. Driving back to Geneva On the motorway you will first of all see signs for Geneva and then signs for the airport. Ignore the first exit for Geneva and follow the airport sighs. If by mistake you find yourself driving into the city, drive into the centre following signs for Lausanne and then the airport, this will take you through the centre of town. From the Channel Ports and Paris using the Autoroute Drive as far as Macon and then turn off toward Geneva. Continue towards Geneva and then follow signs towards Chamonix and the Mont Blanc Tunnel. (Do not o into Geneva, stay on the motorway). About 20 miles after passing Geneva you will come to Cluses. Leave the motorway at Cluses following signs to Morzine-Avoriaz. Continue to follow signs for MORZINE-AVORIAZ through the outskirts of Cluses. The road start to climb after Cluses and you will pass through Taninges & Les Gets on the way to Morzine which is about 32km (20 miles) from Cluses. About 5km after Les Gets, just before you get to Morzine there is a long bend in the road, follow this round to the left, it is signposted to ST JEAN D’AULPS. Eventually you will drive through the village of St Jean d’Aulps, just after the Marie and Post Office which are on your left, there is a turning up to the right. Follow this road up the hill until it splits into two. Take the right hand fork, we are the first house on the right with a cherry tree in the garden. |
